He was found in Westwood after being on the run for nearly a week, WCPO says. Thomas was taken back into custody Thursday evening and expected to appear in court Friday.
Thomas escaped Sunday from the Talbert House as the Hamilton County Sheriff Office says he broke a third floor window with a chair, then climbed down to the street using bed sheets he tied together, WCPO said.
Hamilton County Sheriff Charmain McGuffey said Thomas tunneled through dry wall in the minimum security jail, concealed the damage with a locker and bed and made his escape when a guard went down for dinner, according to WCPO.
Thomas was being help at the Talbert House on warrant from Kenton County in Kentucky and was one of four inmates to escape from Hamilton County Sheriff’s custody in three weeks, WCPO said.

McGuffey said changes need to be implemented to make sure this does not happen again, WCPO said.
