Friends, family and colleagues from multiple police departments gathered Thursday to remember Unwin.

“As we leave here today, let’s honor Tim in the way he lived his life: by making people better,” said Rick Bley, Springfield Township Police Chief.

Everyone who spoke Thursday remembered Unwin’s police service of four years and how much they loved him as a colleague and friend, WCPO reported.

“Tim, we saw you in that rainbow over the PD last Friday, when you died,” said Bley. “We heard your thunder (Wednesday) yesterday at church. We get it. We know you love us, and we love you too,” said Bley. “But rest easy, because we all got this.”
