Margie Christie, executive director of Dayton Right to Life, said, “the fight continues,” in a news conference Friday afternoon in reaction to the US Supreme Court overturning RoevWade.

“The life decision had always been decided by the states, until Roe in 1972,” Christie said and added, “it had no place in our history.”

State representative Jena Powell called the ruling, “a truly exciting day here in Ohio.”
“Today is a day of celebration because we know millions of children will be protected from the gruesome act of abortion in our community, in our state and in our nation,” Powell said.
She called it the beginning of the Pro-Life movement.
“We can now fight for life and end abortion here in Ohio,” she said.

Ohio Right to Life released a statement regarding the United States Supreme court decision Friday in the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

“Today’s Dobbs decision by the Supreme Court finally reverses the most destructive court decision in our nation’s history that is responsible for over 62 million deaths,” said Michael Gonidakis, President of Ohio Right to Life.
Goniakis called on all Ohioans to work together to women in need to ensure they have access to the best health care and support services so that they can have a healthy pregnancy and raise their child.
“Today, we joyfully celebrate the announcement of the good news from the Supreme Court that Roe was indeed wrongly and woefully decided,” Gonidakis said.

He said the pro-life movement will continue to fight for the preborn in each and every state, including here in Ohio.
“Ohio Right to Life encourages our pro-life legislative majorities and Governor DeWine to be ambitious and end abortion once and for in our great state.”
The Archdiocese of Cincinnati said Friday they welcomed the decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization calling it a, “welcome and potential watershed moment in the history of the United States.”
“The decision means that states, including Ohio, now have the option to legally protect the most vulnerable of all human beings: babies in the wombs.”
