OSHIIP to hold Medicare education events in Dayton area

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP), the state’s official Medicare educational and counseling program, will hold a free-in person event in the Dayton area starting next week.

OHIIP is a program of the Ohio Department of Insurance.

Representatives from OSHIIP will provide an overview of Medicare, Part A and B benefits, Part D prescription drug coverage, deadlines and other important information, according to an Ohio Department of Insurance spokesperson.

There are three scheduled in the Dayton-area:

  • April 20- Clark United Senior Services on 125 W. Main Street in Springfield at 2 p.m. Call 937-323-4948 to RSVP.
  • April 24- Darke Brethren Retirement Community on 750 Chestnut Street at 2 p.m. Call 937-547-7628 to RSVP.
  • May 17- Earl Heck Center at 2 p.m. on N Main Street.

OSHIPP counseled and education nearly 600,000 people in 2022 and saved Ohioans on Medicare $46 million, a spokesperson said.
