Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard facing rape charges in Ohio

GUERNSEY COUNTY — A member of the Super Bowl-bound Philadelphia Eagles is being accused of rape in Ohio.

Joshua Sills, 25, was indicted by a Guernsey County Common Pleas Court grand jury on one count of rape and one count of kidnapping on Tuesday, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

Sills allegedly sexually assaulted a female victim and held her against her will in December 2019.

“The crime was immediately reported, and the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office conducted a detailed investigation,” according to a spokesperson for the Attorney General’s Office.

Sills, who is from Noble County, was signed by the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2022, according to the team’s website.

Sills was issued a summons to appear in court in Guernsey County on Feb. 16, four days after Sills and the Eagles are set to play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII in Arizona.
