Social media, NFL reacts after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin injured on field

CINCINNATI — Many took to social media after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and had CPR performed on him during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals Monday night.

Hamlin was hit while trying to tackle Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins in the middle of the field during the first quarter of the game, according to our news partner WCPO.

Hamlin was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he is in critical condition, according to a statement by the NFL.
