CINCINNATI — At the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical garden famous hippo siblings Fiona and her little brother Fritz met Tuesday... sort of.
The zoo shared a video of Fritz and Fiona sniffing and peeking at each other from neighboring spaces in their indoor habitat.

Keepers said they have seen positive reactions from the siblings and great maternal behavior from their mom, Bibi.
Fritz is almost three weeks old and the zoo said he already weighs more than 120 pounds.
Fiona and Fritz Get Nose to NoseThe next step of introductions has begun. Fritz and Fiona are now able to see and sniff each other from neighboring spaces in the indoor habitat for short periods with keepers (and Bibi) supervising! So far, they have seen positive interactions between the siblings and model maternal behavior from Bibi! We’ll keep you updated on their progress.
