CLERMONT COUNTY — A Clermont County community continues to mourn the loss of three brothers killed in a shooting.

>>‘The most heinous, monstrous crime;’ Clermont Co. father executed 3 sons, prosecutors say

Their father, Chad Doerman, confessed to shooting and killing his three sons, according to court documents obtain by news partners WCPO.

The boys were just seven, four, and three years old.

Loved ones said all three brothers loved playing baseball.

Now, their team is trying to keep their memories alive.

The New Richmond Youth Sports Association is putting together a vigil later this week at the fields where the boys spent so much time together.

“Anytime that you have three little boys running around, it’s going to be fun and interesting. There’s just nothing like little boys,” said Kristin Bennett. “They have so much energy you never now what they are going to get into, but they were good kids.”

The New Richmond Youth Sports Association has a t-shirt fundraiser with the proceeds going to the Doerman Family.

A memorial will take place Sunday, June 25, at the ballfields.

So far, investigators have not said anything about a motive.

News Center 7 previously reported the father has been charged with shooting and killing his three sons.

Chad Doerman, 32, is in jail on a $20 million cash bond, according to our news partners WCPO in Cincinnati.

WCPO said that while in court last Friday, prosecutors said all three of the children were shot execution-style with a rifle and found lying in the yard of a home by first responders. Prosecutors said one of the boys was able to run into a nearby field, but Doerman chased him down and dragged him back to the yard before shooting him.

He “confessed to planning and carrying out the deaths of the victims involved for several months,” according to court documents obtained by WCPO.

Doerman did not enter a plea while in court.

Prosecutors said in court last Friday that this was “the most heinous, monstrous crime.”
