DAYTON — One man has been taken into custody after a five-hour standoff in Dayton.
Dayton Police and SWAT staged outside of a house on the 4300 block of Queens Avenue early Thursday morning.
Police were called out to a domestic violence complaint just before 2:00 a.m., according to Incident Commander Christopher Malson.
Malson tells us there were reports of a son who threatened his mom with a knife and assaulted her at the house.
When police arrived at the house, they asked the son multiple times to leave the house, however, he refused to work with the police. That’s when SWAT had to be called in.

Shortly before 3:30 a.m. SWAT had been dispatched to the house and staged outside.
Dispatch tells us one person has been taken into custody following the standoff shortly before 7:00 a.m.
The mother had minor injuries according to Malson.
