Florida recorded 15,300 confirmed cases Sunday, the highest single-day increase since the pandemic started.

There were also 45 coronavirus related deaths reported, according to health officials.

There are 269,811 confirmed cases in the state and 4,346 deaths.

The previous record of daily positive cases, 11,694, was set Wednesday in California. Before that New York had 11,571 cases on April 15.
