“Dancing With the Stars” pro Lindsay Arnold has shared the name of her newborn baby girl.
According to E! News, the 26-year-old, who has appeared on the show since 2013, revealed the news Wednesday in an Instagram post, which included a photo of her infant daughter.
“Sage Jill Cusick. 7 lbs, 10 oz, 19 inches tall,” the caption read.
Arnold went on to describe the birth of her child, the first for the dancer and her husband, Samuel Lightner Cusick, according to People magazine. The baby arrived eight days early via C-section shortly after 6 a.m. Monday, she wrote.
“I woke up to my water breaking around 3:30 a.m. at home in bed, and contractions started immediately after,” her post read. “Sam and I grabbed everything and headed straight to hospital. Baby girl was still breech and I was progressing very fast, so we prepped right away for C-section delivery.”
She added that she is “so grateful” to the nurses and doctors who safely delivered Sage.
“We could not be more in love with her and feel blessed beyond words to be her parents,” Arnold wrote. “She entered this world on the same day that we lost Sam’s beautiful mother just one year ago, and we couldn’t help but see God’s hand in this and know that Sage was handed down to us by her beautiful angel grandmother, Jennifer Jill Gillette Cusick. Thank you all so much for the love and support you have sent our way.”
The update came two days after Arnold announced the baby’s birth.
