MILWAUKEE — A person walking on a beach in Milwaukee found a human femur, law enforcement officials said.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said that a human bone was found by a person on a walk near Northpoint Custard at Bradford Beach Monday morning, according to WISN.
The Milwaukee County medical examiner’s office confirmed, according to WISN, that the bone that was found was a human femur. Other remains were also found in the same area, WITI reported.
It is not clear if the additional remains are human or if they are animal, the news release obtained by The Associated Press said.
The identification of the remains and cause of death has not yet been determined.
