SHREWSBURY, Mo. — A Missouri 11-year-old is mowing lawns in order to help support the Black Lives Matter organization.
Jack Powers recently started a lawn mowing business in order to give his proceeds to the movement, KMOV reported.
“I just wanted to make a change and I didn’t like how people were being treated,” Powers said.
Powers hung signs for his business and plan to support Black Lives Matter. He was overwhelmed by the response.
“There’s been a lot of change, flux and hardship so to see Jack’s poster and find a helper, it actually opened up a great conversation with my son about how he can be a helper,” neighbor April Strelinger said.
While Strelinger did not need her lawn mowed, she did donate.
He has raised $110 so far.
