DALLAS — A Texas man is facing charges after a fight over what mosquitoes look like turned violent.
Dallas police arrested Victor Shavers after they responded to his home and found Shavers’ roommate “with a bloody face,” NBC News reported.
Jail records show that Shavers remains behind bars in Dallas on charges of assault.
The victim told police that he and Shavers were talking about what a mosquito looks like, when the discussion escalated, The Dallas Morning News reported. The roommate told police that Shavers grabbed a stick and started hitting him on the head. The arrest affidavit, obtained by the newspaper, says Shavers hit his roommate at least six times.
The roommate was able to get a metal bat and hit Shavers back in self-defense, NBC News reported.
The victim had cuts to his cheek and side of his head and required stitches, The Dallas Morning News reported. Shavers suffered a possible broken hand.
