Police: Man kidnapped Myrtle Beach strip club employee at gunpoint

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A South Carolina man is accused of kidnapping and assaulting an employee of a Myrtle Beach strip club, authorities said.

Joshua Tyson Miller, 38, of Myrtle Beach, was charged with kidnapping and domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, according to Horry County online booking records.

According to a police report, the victim got off work at 4 a.m. EDT on Sunday at The Masters Club, The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported. The woman called Miller, her boyfriend, and asked for a ride home since she had been drinking, according to the police report.

The victim noticed her boyfriend’s car was already in the parking lot but he was not inside, the newspaper reported.

The police report further states that a white van with four men, including Miller, pulled up to her outside the club. When she got in the van, Miller allegedly grabbed her by the throat and assaulted her, The Sun News reported.

Police said the victim was restrained in the car, and Miller allegedly pointed a gun at her and took her purse and jewelry, WBTW reported.

When emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene, they noticed the victim had a bruise under her left eye and a small cut on the top of her head, The Sun News reported. She also had red marks on her neck and bruising on her thighs, according to the newspaper.

Miller remains in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bail, according to Horry County online booking records.
