The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of Cosori Air Fryers after it was found that a wire connection can overheat.

In addition to the 2 million appliances recalled in the U.S., an additional 250,000 were sold in Canada and 21,000 were sold in Mexico.

The recall involves the following models:

CP158-AFCP158-AF-R19CP158-AF-RXW
CP158-AF-RXRCAF-P581-BUSRCAF-P581-AUSR
CAF-P581-RUSRCP137-AFCP137-AF-RXB
CP137-AF-RXRCP137-AF-RXWCS158-AF
CS158-AF-RXBCS158-AF-R19CAF-P581S-BUSR
CAF-P581S-RUSRCAF-P581S-AUSRCO137-AF
CO158-AFCO158-AF-RXBCP258-AF

The brand name Cosori is on the front of the fryer and the model number is printed on both the label on the bottom of the appliance and on the user manual.

The fryers were sold in a variety of colors — black, gray, white, blue or red — in 3.7- and 5.8-quart versions, the CPSC reported.

They were sold by several stores, such as Best Buy, Target and Amazon, from June 2018 through December 2022 for between $70 and $130.

Owners are being told to stop using them immediately and to contact Cosori to receive a replacement air fryer or another product.

To start the process, owners are being told to visit recall.cosori.com and provide their contact information and a photo of the fryer showing the cord cut off.

If you have any questions you can call Cosori at 888-216-5974 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET or via email.
