Esports and video gaming overall have been on the increase while people stayed home during coronavirus pandemic restrictions were in place, according to The Washington Post.
To add to the slate of gaming options, Sony will be giving gamers a look at its long-awaited PS5.
Sony announced an event for June 4 at 4 p.m. EDT, 1 p.m. PDT, to show off the company’s newest console, The Verge reported.

The game system will be released this holiday season, Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan said.
System details have trickled out including the specifications of the system, the logo and a new controller. But an image of the system has not been shown.
One thing that is promised for the event is a look at some of the games that will be released for the new system.
