One of the five tornadoes to touch down in the Miami Valley Wednesday evening was caught on an ODOT traffic camera.
The camera, focusing on the I-70/I-675 interchange, captures a view of the storm spinning over the Park Layne area at 9:11 p.m. Wednesday.
Five tornadoes, confirmed by the National Weather Service, struck the Miami Valley during Wednesday’s storms. The Park Layne twister and one that struck near Piqua were determined to be EF-1 in strength. Three others, one near Medway, one in Fayette County and one near Harveysburg in Warren County, were all EF-0 tornadoes, the NWS said.
