A large structure fire engulfed the swine barn at the Darke County Fairgrounds on Oct. 25, 2018, causing the roof to collapse and causing a smoke plume large enough to be seen on radar.

Storm Center 7 meteorologists were able to isolate Greenville on Doppler 7 and show smoke appearing from the fire registering on the radar. The smoke can be seen going northwest from Greenville.

The swine barn was the second largest structure at the fairgrounds. Some witnesses near the scene of the fire said the barn is used primarily for storage this time of year.
