Weather for the Air Force Marathon events this weekend are shaping up to be dry with plenty of sunshine.

The good news is the remnants of Irma will be gone by the time runners lace up their shoes, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini.
By Friday's 5K, which begins at 6:30 p.m., there will be dry weather and mild conditions. Temperatures will be in the mid-70s at the start of the race. Sunset will be at 7:44 p.m.

Saturday morning, runners will see temperatures around 60 to start, with a slight chance for fog. Any fog that develops will not be as widespread as Friday morning, and will likely be limited to rural areas.
By the end of the day, highs will reach the low 80s. There will be plenty of sunshine to enjoy Saturday with a high UV Index around 6. It won't feel too muggy with dew points in the low 60s. If you suffer from allergies, weed pollen counts may be up again by Saturday.
