Cold with snow coming for the weekend

Skies will become mostly clear and it will be cold overnight, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said. Temperatures will drop into the middle teens. Wind chills will fall into the single digits.

DETAILED FORECAST

Friday: Skies will be mostly sunny through much of the day with some increase in clouds late. Temperatures will hold to the lower 30s.

Saturday: Light snow or snow showers will be likely, especially the first half of the day. Snowfall accumulation will range from 1 to 2 inches north of Interstate 70 to around 1 inch or less south. Temperatures will hold into the lower 30s with blustery conditions.

Sunday: A few flurries will be possible, mainly early. Clouds will break with blustery, chilly conditions. Highs will top out near 30 degrees.

Monday: Clouds will be on the increase. There will be the chance for snow showers late, mainly north. Highs will climb into the upper 30s.

Tuesday: Skies will be mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers and flurries. It will be breezy and colder with highs in the upper 20s.
