Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, a republican, has been the governor since 2019.

He was born on January 5th, 1947, and grew up in Yellow Springs. He is 73 years old.

Governor DeWine and his wife, Fran, have 8 children, and several grandchildren. They have a home in Cedarville, in Greene County.

He is a graduate of Miami University, and from law school at Ohio Northern University.

DeWine became Greene County prosecutor in 1976. In 1980, he became a state senator, then two years later was elected to congress. In 1991, he left congress to become the lieutenant governor under Governor George Voinovich.

He moved to the U.S. Senate in 1995, serving two terms representing Ohio, until 2007. From 2011 to 2019 he was the attorney general for the state of Ohio, until winning election as governor.
