Tropical Storm Bertha will bring tropical storm force winds to the South Carolina coast, but winds are not the primary threat.
Due to the slow movement of the storm, heavy rain will lead to possibly life threatening flash flooding.

Parts of South and North Carolina have recently received substantial rainfall, leaving the soil saturated.
Rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday will climb between 4 and 6 inches in parts of the Carolinas.
