The Browns sent 2025 sixth-round and seven-round draft picks to the Vikings in exchange for two fifth-round picks, one in 2024 and the other in 2025.

Smith is an eight-year veteran and three-time Pro-Bowler who totaled double-digit sacks in three of the last four seasons. He was a Pro Bowl selection for the Vikings last year with 10 sacks, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble.

He was drafted by Baltimore in 2015 out of Kentucky and played from 2015-2018 for the Ravens, 2019-21 for the Packers, and last season for the Vikings.

Smith will be paired with Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett, the duo combined for 26 sacks.

He is among several new additions to the Browns’ defensive line. The team signed defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo, defensive tackle Maurice Hurst II, and defensive tackle Trysten Hill.
