Browns sign 5 of their 7 draft picks, including 9 undrafted free agents

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns have signed five of their seven picks from the 2023 NFL Draft and several undrafted free agents.

The Browns signed defensive tackle Siaki Ika, defensive end Isaiah McGuire, quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, cornerback Cameron Mitchell, and center Luke Wypler.

Cleveland did not have any first and second-round selections in this year’s draft because of the Deshaun Watson trade with the Houston Texans.

Ika was drafted in the third round out of Baylor. He played 40 games, including 23 starts between his time at both LSU (2019-20) and Baylor (2021-22). Ika had 65 tackles, five sacks, and three passes batted down. He will wear no. 62, the team announced.

The Browns selected McGuire in the fourth round from Missouri. He played 40 games, including 30 starts from 2019-22, registering 103 tackles, 16.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. The team said he will no. 91.

Thompson-Robinson is a fifth-round selection out of UCLA. He played 50 games, including 40 starts, from 2018-22, and is the school’s all-time leader in offense with over 12,000 yards in total offense. Thompson-Robinson will wear no. 17.

Mitchell was also drafted in the fifth round. He played in 35 games at Northwestern and had 119 tackles and will wear no. 29.

Cleveland picked Wypler in the sixth round out of Ohio State. He was a two-year starter in 2021 and 2022 and will wear no. 56.

The Browns also signed nine undrafted free agents. This includes two offensive players and seven defensive players.
