ATLANTA — The Cleveland Browns went on the road Sunday and lost to the Atlanta Falcons, 23-20, at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Nick Chubb ran for 118 yards and a touchdown.
Younghoe Koo’s 45-yard field with 2:28 remaining gave the Falcons the lead for good, 23-20.
Jacoby Brissett was intercepted by Dee Alford with 55 seconds left sealed the game for Atlanta.
The Falcons jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter on a 30-yard field goal by Koo and 13-yard touchdown run by Cordarrelle Patterson.
Cleveland responded in the second quarter with four-yard touchdown run by Brissett and 29-yard field by Cade York to tie the game at 10-10 at halftime.
York converted a 45-yard field field goal with 3:06 left in the third quarter to put the Browns ahead, 13-10, after three.
Atlanta took the lead in the fourth quarter as Caleb Huntley’s five-yard touchdown capped a 10 play, 75-yard drive to put them back in front, 17-13.
Cleveland answered with a 28-yard touchdown run by Nick Chubb to reclaim the advantage, 20-17.
The Falcons countered with a 21-yard field goal by Koo to even the score at 20-20.
The Browns failed to convert on third and 6 from the Atlanta 44-yard field with 3:48 remaining and had to punt. Atlanta drove to Cleveland’s 27-yard line where Koo connected from 45-yards out to give the Falcons a 23-20 advantage.
Cleveland drove to the Atlanta 41-yard line but was called for a penalty and Brissett was sacked forcing them to a third and 23 with 1:03 to play.
Brissett went deep to David Bell and was picked off by Alford and the Falcons ran out the clock.
Cleveland falls to 2-2 overall and now is in a three-way tie for first place in the AFC North with Baltimore and Cincinnati.
They will host the Los Angeles Chargers on October 9 at 1:00 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium.
