Dayton Dragons game at West Michigan postponed due to poor air quality

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The Dayton Dragons baseball game between the West Michigan Whitecaps was postponed Tuesday night.

This was due to poor air quality in Grand Rapids, Michigan because of the smoke from the Canadian wildfires.

The Whitecaps organization released the following statement:

“In consultation with local weather and health officials, and for the safety of fans and players and in accordance with MLB safety guidelines, (Tuesday) tonight’s game has been postponed due to poor air quality.”

The game has been rescheduled for Friday, June 30, as part of a doubleheader at West Michigan with the first game at 5:35 p.m.

Wednesday night’s game is still scheduled at 6:35 p.m.

The Dragons’ next home series begins on July 4 when they host Great Lakes.
