The Dragons turned their first triple play in franchise history in the first inning.

The Loons had the bases loaded with no outs when Griffin Lockwood-Powell hit pop up to the right side. Umpires invoked the infield fly rule calling Lockwood-Powell out.

However, it was not caught by Dayton second baseman Jose Serrano and each runner advance one base.

The Dragons returned the ball into the infield and tagged the runner standing at second base.

There was confusion and umpires indicated two runners for Great Lakes were out for abandoning their bases. The lead runner on the play scored from third base on what was ruled a sacrifice fly.

When it was sorted out, three outs were recorded and the Loons were recorded one run.

Great Lakes beat Dayton, 5-0, on Sunday afternoon.
