DAYTON — The Dayton Flyers men’s basketball team will continue their season in the National Invitation Tournament.
The Flyers have accepted their invite and are headed to Texas to compete in the NIT.
Similar to the NCAA tournament, the NIT will be played in a single region due to the pandemic. All games will be played in the Dallas, Fort-Worth metroplex. This year, only 16 teams will participate instead of the normal 32.
The Flyers will take on the University of Memphis in the first round on Saturday, March 20 at noon at the University of North Texas Coliseum. The game will be televised on ESPN.
This marks Dayton’s 26th appearance in the NIT.
The Flyers are 14-9 this season and reached the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 tournament.
