DAYTON — Former University of Dayton forward/center Moulaye Sissoko announced Monday that he will be transferring to North Texas.

He played forty-four career games at UD the last two seasons, mainly coming off the bench, and averaged 2.1 points and 2.3 rebounds a game. Sissoko announced he was entering the transfer portal on March 24th.

Sissoko sat out the 2019-20 season as a development redshirt and played 20 minutes in an exhibition game against Cedarville scoring 12 points and grabbing nine rebounds. The next season, he was a team rep on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council and played 14 games before having season ending knee surgery on February 22, 2021.
This past season, Sissoko played in 30 games and scored a career-high 12 points against Austin Peay on November 19th. In Dayton’s two NIT games, he finished with eight points each against both Toledo and Vanderbilt.
The Dayton Flyers went 24-11 this past season, finished tied for the second place in the Atlantic 10 and lost in the Second Round of the 2022 NIT.
