CINCINNATI — The National Football League released the 2022 schedule for the defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals Thursday night. They will have five games in primetime this season, including three in the first half of the season. Cincinnati’s bye week is scheduled for November 13th.
The Bengals will begin the season September 11th hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 pm at Paul Brown Stadium. Cincinnati’s next game will be against the Dallas Cowboys in Irving, TX on September 18th at 4:25 pm. You can watch both those games on WHIO-TV.
Cincinnati’s first primetime game will be September 29th when they host the Miami Dolphins at 8:15 pm, that game will be televised on Amazon Prime Video. The next week, October 9th, the Bengals will play at the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore, MD at 8:20 pm on Sunday Night Football on NBC.
Cincinnati is also scheduled to make two appearances on Monday Night Football. The first comes Halloween night on October 31st when they play their in-state division rival, Cleveland Browns, at First Energy Stadium at 8:30 pm. Their second Monday Night Football appearance is scheduled for January 2nd at 8:30 pm hosting the Buffalo Bills at Paul Brown Stadium.
Other highlights to the schedule include October 16th at the New Orleans Saints in New Orleans, LA. QB Joe Burrow and WR Ja’Marr Chase played college ball at LSU in Baton Rouge, LA, 81 miles away. Cincinnati has two playoff rematches from last year. A rematch of last year’s AFC Divisional play against the Tennessee Titans on November 27th at 1 pm in Nashville, TN and a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game on December 4th at the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:25 pm. The Bengals beat the Titans, 19-16, on January 22nd and knocked off the Chiefs, 27-24, on January 30th. Cincinnati will play at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on December 18th at 4:25 pm. All four of those games will be on WHIO TV.
As for their division, the Bengals play at Pittsburgh on November 20th at 8:20 pm, host Cleveland on December 11th and end the season hosting Baltimore either January 7th or the 8th.
The Cincinnati Bengals exhibition schedule includes hosting Arizona for Week 1, playing at the New York Giants on Week 2 and a rematch of the Super Bowl hosting the defending champion Los Angeles Rams for Week 3. The dates and times will be announced later.
