Stroud helped the Buckeyes beat Utah in the 2022 Rose Bowl, setting school and bowl game records passing for 573 yards and six touchdowns.
Last season, he helped the Buckeyes reach the College Football Playoff semifinals before losing to Georgia on New Year’s Eve.
He said he’s been training for this moment a long time.
“Very, very long time,” said Stroud. “I mean, a lot of late nights, early mornings, a lot of hard work dedication.”
The Cincinnati Bengals have the 28th pick in this year’s draft. The Cleveland Browns have no first round pick following the Deshaun Watson trade.
The Carolina Panthers selected Alabama quarterback Bryce Young as the No. 1 overall pick.
This year’s NFL Draft is taking place in Kansas City, Missouri, the home of the 2023 Super Bowl Champion Chiefs.
