COLUMBUS — The Ohio State football team concluded spring play Saturday with the spring football game at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. The Gray team (the defense) beat the Scarlett team (offense), 40-31.
They played in front of 75,000 fans at Ohio Stadium.

Buckeye fans were looking to see a showdown between quarterbacks Kyle McCord and Devin Brown but Brown did not play after suffering a finger injury to his throwing hand earlier in the week.
McCord alternated quarterback series with Oregon State transfer Tristan Gebbia. McCord completed 18 of 34 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown while Gebbia finished with 127 yards passing and a score.
All-American wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr played in a couple of first quarter series before sitting and caught three passes for 62 yards.
Chip Trayanum ran for 110 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown run.
The Buckeyes begin the 2023 season September 2 at Indiana in Bloomington, Indiana.
