COLUMBUS — The College Football Playoff Committee announced its Top Four teams in this season’s College Football Playoff Sunday afternoon and Ohio State is among those teams.

Georgia is ranked number one, Michigan is number two and TCU is number three.
The Buckeyes finished number four moving up one spot from number five following this past weekend’s conference championship games which included a pair of upsets. They were ranked fifth in Tuesday’s playoff rankings ahead of Alabama.
TCU lost in overtime Saturday to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship Game but the Horn Frogs are ranked number three. But it was USC losing Friday night to Utah in the Pac 12 Championship game that put Ohio State back in the conversation despite their home loss to Michigan on November 26.
Alabama is ranked No. 5 and Tennessee finished No. 6.

All College Football Playoff games will be played on New Year’s Eve, December 31.
No. 2 Michigan will battle No. 3 TCU in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona at 4 p.m. in the first semifinal game.
No. 4 Ohio State will play No. 1 Georgia in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia at 8 p.m. in the second semifinal game.
The winner of each game will play in The College Football National Championship Game in Los Angeles on January 9.
