“I am so proud of our Springfield High Wildcats. I’m especially proud of my nephew Anthony. But the entire team, I’m so proud of what you’re doing,” Legend said in the message.
Legend was a 1995 graduate of Springfield North, he said in the message.
“This is unprecedented, historic. No matter what happens I’m rooting for you and I’m proud of you and Springfield loves you,” he said.
The Wildcats play for the Division 1 state title Friday night against Lakewood St. Edwards in Canton with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
