Makira Cook and Brynn Shoup-Hill will transfer from Dayton to Illinois. — Two members of the University of Dayton women’s basketball team have announced that they will transfer from UD and join former Dayton coach Shauna Green at the University of Illinois, Makira Cook and Brynn Shoup-Hill.

Shoup-Hill made the announcement on Saturday while Cook made it official on April 11th.

Cook led the Flyers in scoring this past season averaging 14.8 points per game and was named Atlantic 10 Most Improved Player of the Year and Second Team All-Conference.
Shoup-Hill played in 23 games off the bench for Dayton this past season averaging 1.8 points per game.
Green coached at six seasons for the Dayton Flyers replacing Jim Jabir in September 2016, leading the program to five Atlantic 10 regular season championships, two conference crowns and four NCAA Tournament appearances. Former Wittenberg head coach Tamika Williams Jeter was named the new Dayton women’s basketball head coach on March 26th.
UD went 26-6 this past season, beating DePaul in the First Four of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament on March 16th before losing to Georgia in the First Round.
