UD Football Picked to Finish Fourth in the Pioneer Football League

Flyers host Robert Morris September 4th to start the 2020 season

DAYTON — The University of Dayton Football team was selected to finish in fourth place in the Pioneer Football League for the upcoming 2021 season in a preseason vote of the league’s coaches. Defending champ Davidson was picked to finish first while San Diego was selected second. The Flyers have 12 league championships to its credit in the PFL’s 28 seasons.

UD went 8-3 overall and 6-2 in the PFL’s last fall season in 2019 and finished tied for second that year. The Flyers return senior quarterback Jack Cook, junior running Jake Chisholm and senior safety Brandon Easterling. All three are co-captains for the upcoming season.

Dayton will begin the 2021 fall campaign on September 4th when they host Robert Morris at Welcome Stadium. Kickoff is at noon on the home of the Flyers, 1290 and 95-7, WHIO. You can also hear the game online here at WHIO.com.
