DAYTON — The University of Dayton confirmed that the men’s basketball team has withdrawn from the Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, according to a spokesperson with the university.
The decision comes one day after fellow competitor Ohio State University pulled out due to the South Dakota’s COVID positivity rate of 50.6 percent and Ohio’s advised 14-day quarantine for residents who are returning from a state that has at least a 15% positivity rate.
Ohio State’s head coach Chris Holtmann posted the following message on Twitter about the tournament.
