University of Dayton football announces the 2022 schedule

The Flyers will play five home and six road games this coming season

DAYTON — The University of Dayton football team has announced the upcoming schedule for the 2022 season.

They begin the season searching for two big milestones. Dayton head coach Rick Chamberlin begins his 14th season as head coach with 99 wins, one away from 100, and the Flyer have scored in 497 consecutive games going back to 1976.

The first two games of the season will be on the road, Saturday September 3 at Robert Morris and September 10 at Youngstown State. UD’s first home game of the season will September 17 against Kentucky State at Welcome Stadium.

After a bye week, the Pioneer Football League season will begin October 1st when the Flyers host Drake at 1 pm. Dayton plays back-to-back road league games at Butler, October 8th, and in Marist on October 15th. UD has two straight home games against Stetson on October 22nd and Valparaiso on October 29th.

The Flyers end the season with three games in November. They are at Presbyterian on November 5th, host Morehead State on November 12th and will play at Davidson on November 19th. The first round of the FCS playoffs will be November 26th.
