LOS ANGELES, CA — Dayton Flyer sophomore forward DaRon Holmes II has been named to the John R. Wooden Award Top 50 Watch List.
The list is comprised of the early front-runners for the most prestigious honors in college basketball and chosen by a preseason poll of national college basketball experts.

Holmes is one of 50 top college basketball players on the list.
Former Flyer and current New York Knick Obi Toppin won the award in the 2020.
Holmes was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year last season. He finished second nationally in field goal percentage (.649, 183-282) and led the country in dunks among freshmen with 81, good for sixth overall.
He is averaging 16.5 points and 6.0 rebounds to start the season for UD.
The Flyers played UNLV late Tuesday night and will host Robert Morris Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
