University of Dayton’s DaRon Holmes enters NBA Draft before deadline

DAYTON — University of Dayton sophomore DaRon Holmes II has entered the 2023 NBA Draft.

Sunday night was the deadline for early entrants to declare for this year’s draft.

He made no official announcement and has reportedly signed with an agent but is maintaining his college eligibility, according to Jonathan Givony of Draft Express.

Holmes led the Dayton Flyers in scoring averaging 18.4 points per game this past season, grabbed 8.1 rebounds and averaged 1.9 blocks per game.

He was first team All Atlantic 10 this past season, earned all-defensive team honors and named the Most Outstanding Player in the 2023 Atlantic 10 Championship.

Holmes finished second in the country with 89 dunks.

The early entry withdrawal deadline for underclassman that wish to maintain their collegiate eligibility is May 31.
