DAYTON — Wright State redshirt junior forward Grant Basile announced Tuesday on Twitter that he will be entering the NCAA’s Transfer portal for his remaining eligibility.

Basile averaged scoring over 18 points and grabbing over eight rebounds a game this past season as he started in all 36 games for the Raiders. He is also a two-time second team All-Horizon League selection. Basile is one of only 15 Wright State players to have over 1,000 points and 500 rebounds for his career.

Wright State went 22-14 overall this season, 15-7 in the Horizon League and won the conference tournament to get an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Raiders beat Bryant, 93-82, on March 16 in the First Four at the UD Arena for the school’s first tournament win. Their run ended on Friday to the number one seed in the south region, Arizona, 87-70.
Basile scored in double figures in both games, 16 points against Bryant and a game-high 21 points, five rebounds and five blocks against Arizona. Basile came to Wright State from Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
Wright State redshirt senior forward James Manns also announced on Twitter that he will enter the transfer portal. He made the announcement on Monday.

He appeared in 11 games this past season and scored six points in two games against Detroit Mercy. Manns will have one year of eligibility remaining. His last game was February 24th against Youngstown State.
