Air Quality Alert, near record-breaking heat expected Saturday; Dry, seasonable next week

The National Weather Service has issued an Air Quality Alert Saturday for Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, and Preble counties starting at 12 a.m. Saturday until 12 a.m. Sunday morning.

OVERNIGHT: Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Robert Gauthreaux says expect low temperatures to drop into the 70s.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy with a stray shower possible.

Otherwise hot with highs in the low 90s. (Dayton’s record is 90 degrees in 2020)

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and warm again. Highs in the upper 80s.

MONDAY: Sunshine and above-average highs continue. However, slightly cooler with highs in the mid-80s.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and seasonable with highs in the low 80s.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and seasonable with highs in the low 80s.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 80.

FRIDAY: Partly sunny and cooler with high temperatures dropping back into the 70s.
