Dreaming of a white Christmas? This year the Miami Valley will be getting a warm and wet one instead. Most of the eastern United States actually will be missing the snow this year.
Storm Center 7′s Kirstie Zontini looked at some of the warmest Christmas days on record and this year, we might end up near the top.

It is interesting to see that Dayton has only had a Christmas day at or above 60 degrees four times on record. If we hit 60 degrees this year, it would make it the fifth warmest on record.
Since temperatures will be so warm, the storm that impacts us will be bringing rain showers only Christmas Eve night through Christmas Day. Santa will need an umbrella this year instead of his warm jacket.
