Venus to be visible in night sky during Christmas week

This week will feature warm weather for Christmas, but also quiet skies that can make stargazing fun!

In the evening hours all week, look for Venus! It is great in the evening sky this time of year.

When the skies are clear, head outside and look to the southwest sky. About an hour after sunset, around 6 p.m., Venus will be shining bright.

It won't twinkle like a star does, but it will set around 7 p.m., so your window isn't very big to see it each night.

On Dec. 28, the very thin crescent moon will be right next to Venus, making it easier to find.
