This week Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs and Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini sat down with Vice President of Weather Operations at DTN, Renny Vanderwege. At DTN, a global company that provides specialized insights for different sectors of business, he develops strategy for DTN’s weather business in Aviation, Energy, Offshore, Shipping, Transportation, and Sports & Safety markets.

Before joining the private sector, Vanderwege was a broadcast meteorologist, he also transitioned into academy and became the Director of the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University.

Vanderwege shared what it is like to use impact forecasting to help his clients at DTN who are global! Kirstie and McCall also learned that the popular radar app, RadarScope is developed at DTN.
