Snow is expected to continue to fall into Sunday, although as warmer air attempts to push into the area, the snow may mix with or change to rain across the southern part of the region.

Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said the latest indications are that most will pick up around 1 to 2 inches of snow by late Sunday.

“We’ll have to pay attention to the track and the strength as it moves across the Plains on Friday,” Elwell said. “That will make a big difference if we need to change the snowfall forecast.”

Elwell said we may not be done with the snow Sunday, as another system is forecast to be a threat to the region by Tuesday of next week.
