The chance for strong to severe storms will return on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to Chaney, Wednesday may see scattered thunderstorms with damaging winds. The exact timing of these storms is difficult to pinpoint.

A second round of storms is possible Thursday afternoon into evening. These storms could be strong to severe with damaging winds, hails, and even an isolated tornado, Chaney said.

Thursday has a slight risk (level 2/5) for severe storms, according to the Storm Prediction Center.

Friday will remain unsettled with a few showers and storms possible. Chances for heavy rain will occur in the evening, Chaney said.

Showers will linger into Saturday’s forecast, but temperatures will not be as hot.
