Skies should cooperate Saturday night to get outside and look for two visible planets. The moon will be close to Venus and Mercury July 14-16, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini said.

“Saturday is your best chance to see the planets line up,” she said.

Head outside after sunset and look to the western horizon. About an hour after the sun goes down Saturday night, the thin waxing crescent moon will be very close to Mercury.

The next night, the moon will be further up in the sky and close to the planet Venus.

Finally, on July 16 at the same time and place, you will see the moon above the two planets.

Remember, a visible planet will shine bright and steady and won't twinkle like a star. If you see the three, send a photo using the hashtag #SkyWitness7.
