DETAILED FORECAST:

OVERNIGHT: Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs says clouds will increase with winds as our next storm system moves into the Miami Valley.

Most of the area will be dealing with chilly rain showers, but areas to the far north (Celina, Wapakoneta & Bellefontaine) may see a bit of a mix or even light snow showers.

Elevated surfaces in these areas may accumulate a very light, slushy coating of snow. Temperatures will be falling through the 40s throughout the night.

FRIDAY: Chilly showers across the Miami Valley with a snow mix north to start the day.

While not expected to be an extreme impact on the roads, travelers should be prepared for a slower drive than normal.

Temperatures will briefly hold steady in the 40s through midday then drop quickly as this storm pulls away. On the backside of this system some scattered flurries and snow showers will be possible with gusty winds.

Temperatures will be falling through the 30s then to the middle 20 overnight. Little to no snow accumulation is expected.

SATURDAY: A dry and cool day across the Miami Valley for Saturday with highs around 40 degrees. Clouds increase once again for Saturday night with the chance of light snow by Sunday morning.

SUNDAY: Our next storm system passes too our south, but will be close enough to spread a band of snow across the Miami Valley especially along and south of I-70.

Temperatures will rise to around 40 degrees, so wet snow or mix showers are expected during the afternoon and evening. A very light accumulation is possible.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy and breezy. Some flurries may linger. Highs around 40 again.

TUESDAY: A mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the upper 30s.

WEDNESDAY: More sunshine and a little warmer hitting the middle to upper 40s.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy and warmer on Thursday with highs in the middle 50s. Slight chance of a passing shower.
